These Terms of Use apply to:

  • Plumber CLI, an open source command-line tool
  • Plumber Platform, a proprietary platform built around Plumber

By using either Plumber CLI or Plumber Platform, you agree to these Terms of Use.


1. Definitions

  • “Plumber CLI” refers to the open source command-line tool distributed under an open source license.
  • “Plumber Platform” refers to the proprietary, non-open-source platform and related services.
  • “Service” refers to Plumber CLI and/or Plumber Platform.
  • “You” refers to any individual or legal entity using the Service.

2. Nature of the Services

2.1 Plumber CLI

Plumber CLI is:

  • an open source software tool
  • provided for analyzing CI/CD pipelines and related environments
  • distributed under its applicable open source license

2.2 Plumber Platform

Plumber Platform is:

  • a proprietary platform developed, operated, and owned by go2scale.
  • provided as a commercial or managed service
  • designed to extend and complement Plumber CLI

Neither Plumber CLI nor Plumber Platform replaces:

  • professional security audits
  • compliance certifications
  • legal or regulatory advice

3. Licensing

3.1 Plumber CLI

Plumber CLI is licensed under the Mozilla Public License v2.0 (MPL 2.0), unless otherwise stated.

Your use of Plumber CLI is governed by the terms of that license. In case of conflict, the license terms prevail over these Terms of Use.

3.2 Plumber Platform

The open source license applicable to Plumber CLI does not apply to Plumber Platform. Plumber Platform is not open source and is licensed under a separate commercial agreement or subscription.

No rights are granted to copy, modify, or redistribute Plumber Platform except as expressly permitted by written agreement.


4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only:

  • on systems, pipelines, and environments you own or are authorized to analyze
  • in compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • for lawful and legitimate purposes

You must not use the Service:

  • to access or analyze systems without authorization
  • for malicious, abusive, or illegal activities
  • to attempt to bypass security controls unlawfully

5. Data and Privacy

Plumber CLI does not collect or store personal data.

Plumber Platform may process limited technical or operational data strictly necessary to provide the service, as described in the applicable Privacy Policy.

No data is sold or shared for advertising purposes.


6. No Warranty

Both Plumber CLI and Plumber Platform are provided “AS IS”, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

No warranties are given, including but not limited to:

  • fitness for a particular purpose
  • accuracy or completeness of results
  • non-infringement
  • availability or uninterrupted operation

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • the authors, contributors, and maintainers of Plumber CLI
  • and the operators of Plumber Platform

shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, including but not limited to:

  • security incidents
  • data loss
  • compliance or audit failures
  • business interruption

You are solely responsible for how you use the Service and for the interpretation of its results.


8. Intellectual Property

8.1 Plumber CLI

All intellectual property rights related to Plumber CLI belong to their respective contributors, subject to the applicable open source license.

8.2 Plumber Platform

All intellectual property rights related to Plumber Platform remain the exclusive property of go2scale.

Nothing in these Terms grants You ownership or rights beyond permitted use.


9. Contributions (Plumber CLI)

By contributing to Plumber CLI, You confirm that:

  • you have the right to submit the contribution
  • your contribution may be used, modified, and redistributed under the project’s open source license
  • you grant maintainers the right to include your contribution in the project

10. Changes to the Service and Terms

The Service and these Terms of Use may be updated or modified at any time.

Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.


11. Governing Law

All disputes arising out of the relationship between the parties concerning its nature, validity, interpretation, performance, termination, consequences and aftermath shall be submitted to the courts of the jurisdiction of the Provider’s registered office.

These Terms of Use are subject to French law.
